Buffalo sauce is one of my favorite sauces. I love the creamy spiciness of it. If you love buffalo sauce like me, then you need this Vegan Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Oyster Mushrooms.
This sandwich uses oyster mushrooms as a chicken substitute. Does it taste exactly like chicken? No, but it does offer a delicious "meaty" taste. The buffalo sauce is made creamy with tahini. Overall this sandwich is so good and I am obsessed with it.
I love oyster mushrooms. For more delicious oyster mushroom recipes try my vegan caesar chickpea oyster mushroom wrap or my oyster mushroom veggie burger.

Recipe FAQ
A lot of grocery stores carry oyster mushrooms. I buy mine at Whole Foods, and if you are an Austin local, Central market also carries them. If all else fails, an asian grocery store will definitely have them.

This was amazing! Cooked it in my cast iron for extra crisp. I put it in wrap and it tasted like grilled chicken. Definitely making oyster mushrooms like this again.
