Milky ways were my favorite candy growing up. I always looked forward to getting them at halloween and I remember one house where we went trick or treating at gave out the giant sized ones. Of course, now I no longer eat them because I am vegan and the ingredients in them are not so fun. I had been dying to recreate them forever and I am so happy with how these Vegan Milky Ways (Mars Bars) turned out.
These vegan milky ways are no bake and made with fairly limited ingredients. You will need a food processor and a bowl to make them, so I know multiple components but they are so worth it I promise.
These Milky Ways are pretty healthy for you. There is a limited amount of sugar in them, and it is all unrefined sugar depending on the type of chocolate you use. The healthy fats and fiber in these milky ways also help to balance your blood sugar. I personally ate two and did not feel any sort of sugar crash. Where as if I ate two real milky ways I am pretty sure I would end up in the hospital lol.

How do I make vegan milky ways?
- First make the nougat layer. Blend all nougat ingredients in a blender or food processor until a paste forms. Press the paste into a flat layer in a lined or silicone loaf pan. Set aside in the freezer.
- Next make the caramel layer. Mix together all caramel ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Pour caramel over nougat layer and freeze for 1 hour or until caramel is hard.
- After the first two layers are done freezing, make the chocolate layer. Melt together chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave or stove top until smooth. Remove nougat and caramel layer from the loaf pan and slice into 6-8 even slices. Pour chocolate over each slice.
- Freeze milky ways for 5-10 minutes or until chocolate is set. Cut into squares and enjoy. This can be stored in the fridge for several days or in the freezer for months.
