Banana Twix
Bananas are one of my favorite fruits. I love the flavor and love adding to my smoothies and desserts. Bananas also make great snacks, really the possibilities are endless. These banana twix are a fun remix on your classic banana nut butter combination.
Instead of the shortbread, these twix use banana as a base, hence the name banana twix. The caramel sauce is made from a combination of nut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla. It tastes surprisingly like caramel! Then all you need for the chocolate sauce is a chocolate bar and a little coconut oil. This dessert uses less than 7 ingredients and it is made in your freezer!
These banana twix might be my new favorite healthy sweet snack. The coconut oil and almond butter add blood sugar balancing properties, so you won't feel a sugar crash from these! I did not use much sweetener in these but if you wanted to lighten them up even further you could use sugar free chocolate.

I absolutely LOVE this recipe and have made it several times. It’s the perfect way to fulfill my sweet tooth. I do have to say, once in a while, I make extra “caramel sauce” to put in my apple cinnamon oatmeal in the mornings. It’s like a caramel apple. Thank you!

Cannot say enough good things about this recipe! So easy to make, and so delicious! I used crunchy peanut butter instead of almond butter, and it worked really well.
