This Vegan Cinnamon Apple Crumb Cake (gluten free + healthy) is the perfect fall dessert.
If you love cinnamon and apples you will love this vegan apple crumb cake. It is so delicious but made with healthier ingredients so you won't feel weighed down or sluggish after. However, don't assume that just because it uses healthier ingredients that it won't taste good, this cake is delicious. This recipe makes the perfect snack, dessert or breakfast.

This cake uses a combination of oat and almond flour for a fluffy texture and healthy fats and fiber. Arrowroot starch is key to getting a good texture in gluten free baking so this cake uses a touch of it. I wouldn't suggest subbing out any of the flours in this recipe but you could swap out the coconut sugar for brown sugar if you would like. Just note that the recipe would no longer be refined sugar free.

Instructions for gluten free apple crumb cake

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Make your flax eggs by mixing flax and water. Let sit refrigerated for 10-30 minutes.
- Mix together your wet ingredients in a large bowl. Pour in dry ingredients minus your apples and mix. Lastly fold in apples.
- Pour batter into a lined 8x8 baking dish.
- Mix together crumble ingredients in a separate bowl. Pour crumble evenly over batter.
- Bake cake for 40-45 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes and enjoy.
