    Baked Crispy Smashed Cauliflower

    Cauliflower is such a good vegetable. It really can do anything! This baked crispy smashed cauliflower is my latest cauliflower creation and it is so good!

    This cauliflower is so good. It gets so crispy and delicious. This is a perfect recipe to serve to a veggie skeptic.

    Let's get into the recipe.

    This cauliflower is

    • gluten free, dairy free, egg free and plant based

    Ingredients for smashed cauliflower

    • cauliflower
    • oil
    • salt
    • pepper
    • garlic powder

    Instructions to make crispy baked and smashed cauliflower

    1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
    2. Add cauliflower florets to boiled and salted water. Cook for 4 minutes.
    3. Add florets to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Smash each floret with the bottom of a glass or jar. Coat with oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    4. Bake  cauliflower for 25-35 minutes until crisp. Smaller pieces may cook faster than larger pieces so remove them as they are cooked.
    5. Serve and enjoy!

    Substitutions

    • Garlic powder - can be subbed with your favorite spice

    You just need your a sheet pan and your oven for this recipe

    Storage instructions for Crispy Smashed Cauliflower

    The leftover cauliflower (if you have any (;) can be stored in a sealed container in your fridge for up to 3 days. Please note it will lose its crisp once stored

    • 1 tbsp oil
    • ½-1 teaspoon salt (adjust to your preference)
    • black pepper to taste
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
