Air Fryer Apple Pie Cottage Cheese Toast is a quick and nourishing recipe that combines creamy cottage cheese with crisp apple slices on a slice of hearty sourdough. A sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin spice and a drizzle of honey bring warm, apple-pie inspired flavors to each bite. The toast is air fried until golden and slightly caramelized, creating a crisp outside with a creamy, sweet interior. Finished with optional toppings like mint or bee pollen, it’s a wholesome breakfast or snack that feels both indulgent and healthy.

Recipe Pro-Tips
Use good quality bread for the best toast. I always recommend checking out your local bakery for a thick and good quality sourdough. Sourdough also has many health benefits such as supporting better digestion due to its natural probiotics, improving nutrient absorption through reduced phytic acid, and helping regulate blood sugar thanks to its lower glycemic index. It can also be easier to tolerate for some people with mild gluten sensitivities compared to regular bread.
Recipe FAQS
Eating apples benefits health because they are rich in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants that support digestion, immune function, and overall wellness. They may also help lower the risk of heart disease, improve gut health, and aid in weight management by promoting fullness.
Cottage cheese is considered healthy because it’s high in protein, calcium, and other essential nutrients while being relatively low in calories and fat. Its protein supports muscle growth and repair, while calcium benefits bone health, making it a nutrient-dense food choice.

Great recipe but the apples lift off in the air fryer. Any tips on getting them to stay on the cottage cheese??
