
Welcome to Avocado Skillet! I’m Kristi — the creator, recipe developer, and voice behind this blog. I live in Austin, Texas with my fiancé and our two rescue pups. My passion for healthy eating and balanced living has been a lifelong journey. Growing up, I struggled with severe asthma, allergies, anxiety, and gut issues, and I eventually found healing through nutrition and lifestyle changes. That experience is what fuels my love for creating nourishing recipes and embracing a wellness-focused way of life.

Over the years, I’ve explored many ways of eating - from vegan to vegetarian to pescatarian to ominivore - and you’ll find that reflected in the variety of recipes on my site. The common thread throughout them all is simple: plant-rich, wholesome meals made without highly processed ingredients. Every recipe is designed to be balanced with protein and fiber, and even my desserts are created with a focus on being lower in sugar while still tasting delicious.
