Cottage Cheese Cinnamon Rolls

These Cottage Cheese Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect healthy dessert.

Ingredients

  • cup cream cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons monk fruit or other powdered sugar*
  • 1 tablespoon milk of choice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add cottage cheese to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add flour, baking powder and salt to a bowl. Mix together until combined. Fold in cottage cheese and knead until fully combined.
  • Sprinkle flour onto a cutting board. Add dough and roll into a rectangle shape that is about ½ inch thick.
  • Mix together filling ingredients in a bowl until a paste forms. Spread out filling on the dough rectangle.
  • Slowly roll out rectangle starting with one of the shorter sides into a cylinder shape. Using a wet knife or a piece of string cut the dough into 6-7 rolls. I cut mine into 7 pieces but 6 would have been better.
  • Add rolls to a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30-40 minutes until rolls are golden brown.
  • Add all icing ingredients to a bowl and mix together until smooth.
  • Remove rolls from oven and let cool. Top with icing and dig in.

Notes

*You can use coconut sugar however this will make the icing brown.
