Hot Honey Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Yogurt sauce

Ingredients
  

slaw

  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons greek yogurt or mayo
  • pinch salt adjust to your saltiness preference
  • pinch black pepper
  • juice from 1 lime

sauce

  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ cup cilantro
  • juice from ½ lime
  • pinch salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • cup greek yogurt

shrimp

  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • juice from ½ lime
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 clove garlic - minced
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • 1 pound shrimp about 18 small shrimp or 9 large shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter

other ingredients

  • 6 taco shells

Instructions
 

  • Add all slaw ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined.
  • Add all sauce ingredients to a blender or processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, lime and spices to a bowl and mix until smooth.
  • Heat butter or oil over medium heat. Add shrimp to the pan. Cook for 90 seconds each side. Then add honey mixture and cook for 1-2 more minutes, until cooked through.
  • Warm taco shells in microwave or on the stove.
  • Assemble tacos with slaw, shrimp and sauce.

Notes

If you don't have hot honey you can sub honey with a pinch of red pepper flakes.
