How to Start and Grow a Food Instagram in 2022

Personally, it makes me laugh when people say that Instagram is dead. I make thousands of dollars a month on sponsored content on Instagram, and Instagram is still an amazing platform to grow and build a community on in 2022.

Should you be diversifying your content across different platforms? Absolutely. However, Instagram is not going anywhere anytime soon. On that note, let's get into how to start and grow a food Instagram in 2022.

How to start a Food Instagram in 2022

Starting out on Instagram is as simple as starting out. All you need to start posting recipe reels on Instagram is an up to date IPhone and a good quality tripod.

It is absolutely not too late to start on Instagram, so I recommend starting before you feel ready. Just start pumping out content and see where it takes you.

How to grow on Instagram in 2022

Growing on Instagram is a lot of work, but in theory it is simple. Here's the breakdown..

    1.) Post Reels

Reels are the only way to grow on Instagram. Since Instagram is pushing out reels it is actually quite easy to grow on Instagram with Reels.

    2.) Post Reels consistently

Post at least 3 times a week. Not only does this keep you in favor with the algorithm, it also forces you to stay consistent with your Instagram and treat it like a business.

3.) Constantly work on improving those Reels

Posting Reels consistently is not good enough, you need to make sure those Reels are good quality. No one is good at making Reels right off the bat, it takes time and effort to improve your Reels.

How can you quickly improve your recipe reels?

If you want to start growing and monetizing your Instagram with Reels sooner rather than later, I recommend my course Recipe Reels Academy.

I put everything I have learned about creating high-reach recipe based Reels into this course.  I grew my following by over 100,000 followers in one year so I know a thing or two about Reels.

Recipe Reels Academy will teach you how to film, edit and post high-reach recipe and food based reels, including downloadable PDF guides and live tech tutorials where I screen share.

This course also teaches you how to get paid brand deals and make money through creator clubs (yay passive income). This includes email templates to reach out to brands with, and a pricing matrix so you know what to charge.

The benefit to investing in Recipe Reels Academy is that instead of wasting months or even years trying to figure out how to create recipe reels, you can have all of the information you need at your fingertips. With just 10,000 followers you can charge $400 for a brand deal, so you can easily double your investment in the course with just one brand deal.
